New Gunpey Gameplay Videos Lined Up for Download

Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. today released a gameplay video for their upcoming puzzle title “Gunpey.” With artistic backgrounds and distinctive musical beats, the unique puzzler challenges players to rotate and shift multiple columns of lines in a mad dash to connect and clear them before they reach the top. Developed by Q Entertainment who is renowned for highly stylized handheld puzzle games such as “Meteos” and “Lumines,” Gunpey is slated for holiday 2006 on the PSP system and Nintendo DS.

The original concept developed by video game legend Gunpei Yokoi, the father of the Game Boy(R) handheld, Gunpey is a perfectly blended mixture of a fast paced line-connecting puzzle game with stunning artistic themes. The objective of the game is to form a solid line by shifting and matching five columns of various lines that fill the screen from left to right and gradually rise up to the top unless the player clears them. Featuring over vibrant backgrounds and upbeat music that changes tempo with the gameplay, Gunpey will be a feast for the eyes and ears of players as they work their way through the single player levels or challenge their friends in exciting wireless multiplayer mode.
